ok ....here we go again....i just did a 30 gallon water change on my 125.....checked the nitrates still at 5ppm....should i just leave it were its at...

i wont be doing another water change till next sun..due to my sched at work...........

is this fine or should i still be :frusty: against the wall..

ive cut down the amount i feed the fish..i will have my med for reducing nitrates and phosphates in this tues...i will dose that and see where i fall....
ive never had this problem...driving me batty......

IMO 5 ppm is not bad. I would hold off on using those meds. I am not a fan of medicating the DT. Just hold on for now, check your nitrates before your next water change, and see where you're at.

5ppt great. question if tests can even be that accurate. if relay concerned look into bio pellets, gfo or macro algey. and of course water changes fix all sorts .
Fed fish are healthy fish.

At 5ppm, you shouldn't be worried about anything. Like mentioned before, see what the number is before your wc. that should be the result you are most concerned with. If under 10ppm, congratulations on succesfully filtering a reef tank.
