High nitrates

i just checked my nitrates hitting at 5-10 ppm...did my 30 gallon water change just on sunday....i received
medicine that i ordered to reduce nitrates red sea no3-po4x......should i use this stuff....reading the instructions..iiiiiiiiiiii
dont want to kill my stuff in my tank...

is this stuff ok to use and what dosage do i use for 125 gal tank????

5 is really not that bad... What test kit are you using? Have you check with another test kit or had the LFS check it for you?

Hello. In fact that level of nitrates are not bad. What corals do you have? Some need a little nitrates to survive. Regards

test kit aquarium pharmaceuticals...i have some acropora..leathers, mushrooms, montiopora, ummmmmmm plate coral, couple zoas, frogspawn, hammer coral
torch coral and couple others, brain dead right now

In fact mushrooms love nitrates. And a few leather also. But acros and montis not. But I think 5 - 10 is OK. Just try to maintain it and don't go up. I used no-pox for a few month to maintain my nitrates to almost 0 and quit it. I see my corals a little better now.

my three acros are doing fine, montiopora i moved back to the sand, had it up high

so should i dose just in case...going to the carolina expo this sat.....buying me some stuff...is that ok to put in tank with nitrates???

Seriously, your NO3 is fine. Don't start chasing numbers and being influenced by fancy bottles. The best way to reduce it if you want is to do water changes. At such a low number already, you won't need to do too much. But really, you're fine in a mixed reef.

Trust us. With your nitrates the corals will be fine. I think you need to focus more on check your KH, CA, and MG to see if your tank is fine.

You do not need to dose under 10. Absolutely nothing wrong with those numbers.
