my nitrate is .25 and phosphate is 0.02 trying to get them lower as im looking forward to adding some sps to it how an i lower them to a reasonable range

most of the time its over feeding, heavy bio load or combo of both.
 
0.25 seems low IMO. Dropping that down further, you're gonna have a dinos problem.
 
i was adding neonitro and feeding heavy thats what i figured raise them that high
 
Grass is always greener... I have to dose 40ml a day of ME Corals Nitrates to stay at 10. Now, if I could only get my phosphate levels to not require silly amounts of GFO I'd be a happy reefer!
 
If you mean 0,25 ppm I don’t see how you want them even lower... if it is 25 ppm it is indeed on the high side, but not impossible. I’m keeping acros in 20 ppm and have never seen them nearly as healthy in my old ULN tank. They look a bit more natural (brown) but are growing and extending polyps like crazy...

I’m using the salifert nitrate test kit and the color matches 25 Ao I’m not sure if is 0.25 or 25 is this a good test kit had a api but it was always 0 so I knew that it was impossible after dosing and feeding heavy
