I have a thousand gallon fish only aquarium with coral inserts.
My nitrate level is very high at 150.
All the fish have been fine.
What is the most efficient way to lower my nitrate levels?

THANK YOU

With that much water volume I would think that a sulfur denitrator would be the most efficient way to reduce and control your nitrates.

In a fish only system 150ppm nitrate probably is not an issue to the health of the fish but it got that high and presumably will continue to rise so getting it under control is a good idea. Water changes would be far more expensive when compared to the denitrator over time.

I want to thank you for recommending a sulfur denitrator.
I purchased a deltec denitrator with the recommended dosing pump.
Within one month the nitrates have decreased from 180 to 75 !!!!
Glad to hear that you are having success. Mine has paid for itself many times over in salt alone.
