everything is doing good. Some corals been in couple months others few weeks. I will be attempting to bring everything down very slow. I don't have crazy algae. What would be the biggest problems if any. Tank is actually stable no swings. I know what parameters "should be!"
Parameters are
alk 12.6
cal 450
mag 1500
nitrates 32
phosphate .87

Algae growth with those numbers high phosphates and nitrates, but saying that if everything is happy dont change or can slowly lower your phosphates and nitrates over time, generally done through water changes

I'm feeding less once a day now doing weekly WC. Algae growth is going how it's supposed to. Nothing crazy. Green Coralline algae coming in ATM.

Since you run a higher alk it is better to have higher nutrients anyways. Don’t do anything you regret!

Facebook reefers are basically the worst and often say the dumbest things. They parrot what they read somewhere, some even having just started the hobby. Can be toxic too. I don’t even bother with them except the local club.

My 25g tank was up two years before my upgrade and had almost identical numbers to yours but that’s about as high as it ran. A weekly water change brought it down again and we would creep up again and repeat.

It won’t hurt to do a water change or such to bring the number down a bit to something more mid range like 15-20 nitrate and 0.1 Po4 but you don’t have to go nuts.

Also check this out.. some of these tanks have higher numbers :) Clearly there is more to it. They are all very different.

That was a great read. Makes me think I'm doing good then. Yea them ppl on FB can be toxic and old and stuck in their ways lots of times tbh. I don't pay 100% attention to them but i def listen if they sound like they're coming correct
