High PH and high Alkalinity

Test my reef tank today and both theses are high alkalinity 9 and PH 8.6 is this a problem

9 dKH is fine (I recommend 7-11 dKH).

I doubt the pH is accurate, unless you do a number of things to raise pH (very high pH alk additives, CO2 scrubber, etc.) since it requires substantial effort to get an aerated reef tank pH that high.
 
Alot of people say not to go above 8.3 or you may have problems. Some people run it above that. How long has it been that high? Do your corals look good?
 
I also sense pH testing error, but could you give us more info on what you are dosing ?

Well, that’s only true for some corals when N and P are very low. It is generally perfectly fine to be higher.
