im heading out to get some new test kits and probe Cali. solution, but my PH had bumped up to 8.9. I took my doser off line as I was out of town at the time, thx Apex. I haven't added any elements for two weeks, and yesterday I added vinegar (265mls) to help drop the ph a bit. It dropped to 8.26 according to the Apex, but this morning I'm back to 8.64. I don't have a whole lot of fish, compared to most with the size of display (190g with 65g sump). Could it be a CO2 issue? I have pumps that turns my ATO water constantly also. The last thing I could think of, would be that I recently (4 months ago)switched back to Britewell for dosing, originally was BRS. Please, any advice

BTW, no water changes have been done since the spike, or additives added other than vinegar to drop the PH. It's been three weeks since the doser came offline and the PH only dropped 0.26 total.

I regretfully have to say, I haven't bought a PH kit in a long time. I've been using Red Sea for Ca, Mg and Alk. Would you guy recommend a better testing solution?

I personally use Salifert, but there are many options. If there are issues with the probe, the kit should easily show it.
