I have a Waterbox AIO 20. I check all my parameters once a week and I just got a Seneye to check my PH and PAR etc. I have never checked PH before and the Seneye is saying it’s currently 9.82. :(

Nitrate:0.25
Phosphate: 0.01
Calcium: 450
Alkalinity: 8.5
Magnesium: 1470
Salinity: 1.024

I assume I need to lower that and get it down a bit, correct?

pH probes are notoriously error prone and need frequent calibration or replacement. I would get a solid confirm on that reading before dosing anything. Are you dosing anything to raise pH? That is a crazy high number.

Extremely unlikely your ph is that high. Are you using and soda ash or kalk? Even though I can't imagine it possible for even those to make your ph that high

No, not currently adding anything to my tank. I have a Hanna PH checker coming on Sunday so I’ll wait until then and check the number. I can also do a water change is necessary tomorrow once I test all my parameters tonight/today.

If you are not adding anything, then it's basically impossible that your ph is that high. You have a issue with your seneye and need to address that. Not do a water change. I mean do a water change if you want, but there is no reason ph wise for you to need to do one.

Thanks so much all. I was concerned but I’ll relax and check it with the Hanna PH checker on Sunday. I appreciate the knowledge and help!

If you are not dosing anything that would affect ph ie. Kalkwasser , I wouldn’t even bother checking your pH. Trying to chase a pH will lead to head aches.
