Hello all
I replaced my filtration system resins (cationic and anionic) and I´m getting high TDS values.
Here is the configuration:
1- 2.5"x 10" 20 micron sediment filter
2- 2.5"x 10" 5 micron sediment filter
3- 2.5"x 10" carbon block filter 5 micron
4- 2.5"x 10" 1 micron sediment filter
5- RO - 75 GPD
6- 2.5"x 10" Cationic Resin Purolite C100
7- 2.5"x 10" Anioni Resin Purolite A400
8- 2.5"x 10" Mix Resin Purolite MB400
To measure the TDS I´ve been using this HM COM-100 meter and all the measurements were taken at the same way with the tested water entering from botton and and leaving from the top of my measure cup with the meter centered not moving.
The pressure before RO is 62 psi
waste water 310 mL/min
produced water 180 mL/min
RO rejection rate= 94% (29.5 ppm in vs 1.7 ppm out)
The TDS numbers are:
Tap water = 29.4 ppm
Pre-filters out = 29.4 ppm
RO output = 1.3 ppm
Cationic and Anionic water output = 7 ppm
I already run 80 liters of water in my new cationic and anionic (separated resins) and I´m still getting high TDS.
I kindly would like your advices if I need to run more water or if I can run my last stage with new mixed resin ? In this case my concern is if the cationic and anionic resin output is high if it will damage my mixed resin.
what is causing this high TDS output ?
Thanks in Advance
