Please help me figure out a way to get 0 ppm TDS RO/DI. I currently have a 4-stage AquaticLife RO/DI with a 150 gpd 98% rejection membrane that I purchased not too long ago and worked great in the city. Now I'm on an acreage and the water is something else! I would like to use this RO/DI and modify as needed. I've already heavily modified it. 
Here's what the guy at the little water filter store said:
TDS 2000 ppm (my in-line Hanna meter says 1200 ppm)
Hardness 10 gpg (generally mainly made up of calcium and magnesium here, but I have not tested specifically)
Iron 1 ppm (not clear water iron)
Mn 0 ppm
Our well is set up in a way that it pumps out to a 3000 gallon buried cistern (it only fills to about 1000 gallons at a time). The water is clear when it enters the cistern, but the iron oxidizes while in the cistern. I imagine the CO2 off-gases too? Not sure.
There is a water softener installed, and no other filtration currently. The softener gets the hardness down to 1 gpg. The softener has a lot of iron build up in it right now - trying to flush it. The water guy said once the softener is flushed well that it should take care of the iron.
Is my best bet to run dual membrane RO? Will need a booster pump too (currently 30/50 psi).
Should I find more info? What do I need to know? Should I get a more complete water analysis?
