High water level

Can anyone please help me with this issue I’m having with the water in my display being to high? I opened the valve but nothing happened. Tank is a Waterbox.

Use a cup and scoop some out?

Check your overflow grates for obstructions / algae blockages. Clean/replace filter sock or filter media so water can flow through chambers easier. Was return pump replaced/upgraded ? what valve was opened? Is this an all in one or does it have an external sump

Thank you. I had some algae on the grates and once I cleaned it the water level went down
