There might not be rigorous science behind a recommended trace element level for an aquarium beyond matching it to what’s in the ocean. And if that level is far from the toxic level, that means you have to really screw up dosing to harm the coral. In your case, you might want to search the internet for zinc toxicity in soft coral to see if there are any surprises.
