Higher par readings from reflection from glass and corals questions?

I measured my par at the bottom of the tank. I always assumed it would be low but my meter (seneye) actually read higher, nearly as high as my halfway point in my tank. The only explanation I could come up with is possibly reflections off of the glass. My rock takes up my middle of the tank so getting readings dead center were not possible. So my question is, is that reflected par ok for low light corals?

Light reflecting from the glass is one reason the BRS guys suggest not painting the back of the tank black. But PAR is PAR so if the reading is higher than what the coral wants then it's too high.

I just tested my tank with a par meter today for the first time and was surprised to see the same thing I was getting 120-130 in the middle and 150 on the edge of the sand bed near the glass.
That was my assumption as well that it was the light reflecting.
