Hey y'all,

Well even though it is snowing and cold up north, here in Central Florida it has been in the 80's. So problem and question. I have been getting rather low PH readings, due to running my AC, 4 people in the house and 4 dogs in the house (excess CO2).7.6-8.0. I couldn't run a air line outside, so I decided to make a CO2 scrubber out of a Gatorade bottle with holes drilled in it and filled with Soda lime Granules, attached to the air line of my protein skimmer. So since then I have had consistent ph from 8.45 (daytime) and 8.20 (night time). Well Sunday night I changed out my soda lime in the bottle, everything seemed fine Monday morning, but I came home Monday afternoon around 4pm and the PH was at 8.55. Well by about 630pm yesterday, it was all the way up to 8.62. Then this morning it was back down to 8.22.
I was just wondering if the PH going to 8.5-8.62ish during the day is ok or would it be better to take the lower ph. and remove the CO2 scrubber.
a run down on my tank so y'all can have all the facts :):

75G display + 20g sump
2 MP40's
8x54w ATI dimmable sunpower

pump 2:80ml/day AF Component 2+ (alk) (dosed equally every hour for 24 hours starting at 12:05am)
Pump 3: 80ml/day AF Component 3+ (mineral salts) (dosed equally every hour for 24 hours starting at 12:10am)

Parameters:
Alk: 7.1-7.2 (Hanna)
Calcium: 470 (redsea)
Mag: 1480 (redsea)

I would be worried. Any thoughts of only filling your CO2 scrubber half way?
