Highest quality dry food?

I feed my tank 2 cubes of frozen a day. But I'm going on vacation, so I need some dry food.

I have the auto-feeder and ATO and I just installed dosers for 2-part, so I think I have all the equipment. But I've done this once before, and I lost a firefish and had a nitrate spike when I came back.

So, any quality dry foods to avoid the nitrates? Any other tips for vacation?

The firefish was never an aggressive eater, but all my other fish are and I know they all eat dry from QT. I have 2 clarkii clowns, one remaining firefish, a royal grandma, a redfin fairy Ross, a fox face, a Japanese swallowtail angel, and a three stripe damsel.

And I don't trust the neighbors with my tank.

I just thought of something else. What about live food? I could buy a brine shrimp hatchery and then set a pump to put some in my tank for 5 minutes a day. Has anyone ever done anything like that?

I have had good luck with NLS foods in my auto-feeder. The 3mm pellets at the largest opening setting on the Apex AFS. Run it 3x day on a large tank and never had an issue being gone 10+ days

3mm pellets on the largest setting? Does t this empty the feeder in 2-3 turns ?

Hakari do list fish meal as the first ingredient, but they still have vegetable protein and starches. Other than pure freeze dried krill or brine shrimp, are there any pellet foods out there that are all fish protein or at least fish and seaweed only?

I'm not sure exactly why I care. I don't know that vegetable proteins are necessarily bad for fish, but at least seems unnatural.
