Hey all, this is my second highlight clove. The first 1 fell and eventualy melted away after a couple of weeks..so foolishly, i did not glue it down, because i wanted to find its sweet spot and it too fell. Been a week and never opened a single polyp. Finaly glued it down to this lower end rock..been glued for 3 days. Not sure if any of those polyps are still alive... any advice or should i just toss it?

Params are all in line.

My first thoughts are your Alk is way to high and those lights probably aren't going to cut it.. do you know your salinity and PO4?

1.26... api kit .phosphates 0.

They melted away already. Thanks for the reply. Could be the lights. I got my alk that high for mixed reef anticipation

You need to get your alk down to 8 or under with those nutrient levels or you probably will have little luck growing anything.. 59 watts on a 55 gallon tank is not nearly enough light and that fixture is only mediocre at best.

I would also work on getting your NO3 and PO4 up a little.. NO3 @ 5-10 minimum and PO4 @ .03- .1 minimum

With those lights add a t5 fixture. You'll be happy you did. At the bottom of the tank you'll be lucky to get 25 par

Thank you. I was at a cross roads of hust adding another fluval sea for the price

You could but but though could add a decent black box as well or a t5 fixture. Dont get me wrong I have fluval.
