OK, I know a lot of people are going to say this doesn't work or not reef safe, etc etc... Im doing a little experimentation and need input from people who have actually tried this in a reef tank. Did it work? Did it kill any coral or other inverts? What dose did you use?

Did absolutely nothing for me whatsoever, my fish ended up dying, and I lost some bta.

Tried it about 6 years ago

I got this off Hikari's website about Ich X: http://www.hikariusa.com/solutions/healthaid/ich-x/
Ingredients: water, formaldehyde (<5%), methanol (<2%), malachite green chloride (<0.1%)

For one, I wouldn't want formaldehyde (a known carcinogen) anywhere near my DT that I regularly put my hands into. Secondly, formaldehyde can be useful (as a bath) to remove "surface parasites" like velvet & brook; but you want a product containing 37% formaldehyde to get the job done right: http://www.fishvet.com/Formalin-MS.htm

You also want to use rubber gloves, face mask, eye protection, etc. whenever handling formaldehyde. ;)
