Discoloration and loss of appetite started this morning. Flashing against the rocks. Doesn't appear to be having breathing issues yet. Something fluorescent in her feces. Guess she could have had a run in with my Ritteri and ate part of him.

Assuming Flukes. Hoping someone can confirm from the video. Started Prazi.

This fish has mucus cones likely mixed in with ich hence the scratches and rub marks which likely started with skin irritations.
Fish needs to be treated in a separate quarantine tank using coppersafe or copperpower at therapeutic level 2.25 monitored with a Hanna copper test kit for 30 days. Often other occupants will not show signs but dont rule them and at least keep an eye on them for similar signs and behavior. Add aeration during treatment with air stone

That discolored area on the black "palette" section looks like an infection of some sort. There also seems to be some damage to the dorsal fin above that area? The fish looks kind of weak also. Flukes typically do not cause concentrated/localized discoloration like that, but can make a fish look weak. Combined infections are also pretty common - so flukes with a secondary bacterial infection is one possibility.

Would you say you concur that Copper is the treatment to go with if I can get her out of the tank?

I don't think so - neither flukes nor bacteria infections will respond to copper. Praziquantel and a broad spectrum, gram negative antibiotic in a treatment tank would be my best guess.....

I typically suggest using Neoplex according to label directions for fish. Quinolones like cipro can also be used. I usually use the related Enrofloxacin at 15 mg/gallon, but if you have a well referenced dose for cipro, you can use that instead. Cipro has more common usage with coral diseases, I can't say if the dose for that is the same as for fish though. My formulary has this information:

Ciprofloxacin

Use: external bacterial diseases of fishes and sometimes anemones and corals.

Dose: 7.5 ppm as a static 24 hour bath, 150 ppm as a 1-hour dip

Realized I threw out the cipro when it expired and forgot to order more. I'll try to find the neoplex.

Thank you.

She died this morning.

I made my aquascape to give fish places to sleep and hide. There was no way to get her out in time.

This is the last time I trust a service to do my quarantine. I should have my head examined.

@Jay Hemdal - Can't find a definitive answer on the neoplex. Seachem site says to remove invertebrates, but the packaging says they may just be stressed from it. Any idea if it will kill my Ritteri?

Sorry no, as I had mentioned, it is best to dose Neomycin in a treatment tank. I don't think I would expose a ritteri to that.

I need to learn to read more carefully.

Found neoplex, but my LFS said the pics and vid looked like poisoning. The quarantiners use Copper, then prazi, metro, and bendazole over the quarantine period. I feel like they were dosed too high or for too long.

The Blonde Naso started having the same discoloration symptoms last night, but looked better this morning, and just now started eating again after 5 days.

Fingers crossed that he's on the mend.

Again, thank you guys for all you do for the community.
