I noticed that my tiny Hippo tang was scratching yesterday and it doesn't seem to get any better. Today it seems like he's got some fuzz on him? He's been in quarantine for a week, and I'm bringing copper up (copper power) I'm at 1.0 but I think I should treat his infection first? I have basically everything in stock furan2, kanamyacin, nitrofurazole. Also my yellow tang seems to be getting worse he's always had a but of a hlle blotch but it's getting worse. Also the naso has two random dark spots?
Where should I go from here, remove copper and what antibiotic/s Thank you

Nice collection of tangs!

Scratching could be an irritation from copper. any white/red wounds or discoloration on the hippo?

Not really just standard dots where the lateral line starts really kind of where the adult dots will be. The yellow tang went through a few months in sub par conditions when we had a flood and his temporary tank was less than ideal.

Everyone is eating very well finally especially the Hippo as he's a quarter the size of the next smallest. But he's been scratching his sides. No visible ick spots but seems fuzzy to me.

I just observed them again, and maybe I'm over thinking it. They've finally become very docile and I haven't gotten that close to them till recently. So some observations may be just my first viewing of them up close. I will stay the course unless anyone thinks differently. I have cuprisorb on hand to remove copper, but appetites have been fine especially with the live black worms.

I've got a skimmer and weekly water changes going at 25%, ammonia badge is good. I'm just anxious as this is my biggest quarantine ever.

I have to ask... what size QT are you running? That is an amazing group of fish!

It's a 110, 60x18x24. Probably a little small, but everybody is getting along and nutrients are under control. Hopefully in a month they'll go into the new 250.
