I am administrating TTM on my new fish. Today I see my Hippo Tang on the bottom of the bucket. I thought he was dead, but he did swim after I nudged him. However, I don't think it's normal to be able to hold one in your hand like this. His coloration seems off, but I can't see any specks. Any ideas of what I should do?

He looks stressed. Do you have an air stone in the bucket and a couple pvc fittings for him to hide in?

Yes, however, my previous "hiding spots" were better. Those are now drying from last night's transfer.

Hippos do tend to act strange in QT, but you shouldn't be able to catch him with your hand. Is he breathing heavy?

I just put a Tupperware in there for another hiding spot. Thanks for the quick responses. I'm glad it's just stress :)

In addition to this ^^ did this behavior and faded look start last night after the transfer or before?

Does he look like he has velvet? I'm also running hypo during this time.

No. He doesn't. he only looked stressed. At this point, you should continue with your TTM and only observe carefully.
