Hippo tang spot on eye

Hey guys.
my hippo has a spot on one of his eyes.
he has a minor case of flukes for awhile (I have prazipro ordered)
She eats well and is fat and healthy

I noticed 2 days ago the spot on his eye.
The spot doesn’t seem to being moving as far as I can tell and all the other inhabitants are good. The mollies in the tank rub themselves on the sand be from time to time but no spots on them and they seem healthy.
My water parameters are good, I do 20% changes every week.
All I can think of is he damaged it going into tight spots which she does often.
There is a gem tang that is the boss of the tank minor chasing but nothing more than that.

while this may have stemmed from an injury, the fish appears to have retina damage which may not clear yet the fish will be able to function normally with eating, swimming, etc.
You can attempt treatment with ethromyacin which is Maracyn AKA Maracyn 1 but do not expect full clearing althought it would be great news.
Treat in Quarantine with added oxygen for at least 5 days

It could be eye damage. There are also two types of eye flukes: external Neobenedenia (which just makes the eye cloudy) and an internal eye fluke - can you tell if the outside of the eye is clear or cloudy?

So the eye is not cloudy. The spot is not moving.

External flukes won't move much, internal flukes won't move at all. Lack of cloudiness tends to rule out external flukes.

Dosing with the prazi would be a good idea, but it may not resolve the issue. If it is the internal fluke, they require secondary hosts, so it will die out on its own.

I have Prazi on the way and I will be dosing that in for sure. I’ll just have to monitor her and see what happens. Im worried that her health suddenly goes down will but for now she acting normal other than minor scratching on rocks
