I wanted to hold off on posting anything about the recent events in my tank until I had a result. After securing some of my corals with Gorilla Glue Gel, I noticed one of my blue tangs swimming around with what looked like a huge chunk of crabmeat out of his mouth. Noticing none of the other fish caring that he had this jewel of food in his mouth I took closer attention and realized it was superglue. Having failed miserably all day Sunday afternoon to catch the fish I resorted to the internet. What I found was I was not alone and in fact this seems to be a frequent issue encountered by reefers. Most everyone had positive outcomes with patient. So I put the fishing poles away and decided to wait.
Monday, my hippo tang still looked like Mick Jagger.
Tuesday, I seemed inevitable that the gorilla glue was indeed the strongest glue on earth.
Wednesday - 4 days later I came home from work to see the hippo tang has shaken the grip of the gorilla. He was immediately eating and back to himself.

I guess the point of me writing this is for any future reefers that run into this problem and decide to resort to the google, my advice would be have patience. Another win for fish vs superglue.

Exact same thing happened to my yellow tang, it was swimming backwards a lot and rubbing against the rock. After about 6ish hours it was abke to get it off.

I have a pic of my yellow tang with a huge beard of glue gel. I was freaking out.lol same results tho.

I had something similiar happen, but to my midas blenny, had a big chunk of glue hanging from his mouth, 2 days later or so it was gone, never really seemed to bother him at all either.
