hippo tang with foggy eye on one side. Does anyone have knowledge about what causes this he has had it for several weeks. It’s eating fine and not acting different then before I noticed this.
If anyone has any information about this It would be greatly appreciate thanks.

Do a freshwater dip to check for flukes. If not, or possibly in addition, could be a bacterial infection. Bacterial infection seems likely given the cloudy eyes and the fins seemingly rotting away. I would treat for the bacterial infection personally.

As a side note, are you feeding nori, if not you should be. I would be concerned about HLLE.

I think the call on hlle is right the only problem is that he is not interested in it do you have anyways you know to get him interested in it

HLLE is an afterthought to the bacterial infection I suspect.

There is some evidence that garlic could be used as an appetite stimulant.

I had fish with cloudy eye and possible secondary bacterial infection. I treated in QT tank with General Cure and later with Melafix for the ratty fins.

This looks like a long term captive. If so, it is unlikely to be Neobenedenia flukes. I can’t tell from the photo which eye is cloudy. Does the cloudiness look to be on the surface? If so, a bacterial infection is possible. If the cloudiness is deeper in the eye, then it is likely a cataract. Those are associated with age or trauma.

I was able to get better pictures and noticed a white blotch on its right side none of my other fish show no signs of whatever is affecting my hippo tang
