Hippo tang with fuzz!!

Hello R2R I was wondering if you guys can help identify what I am dealing with here. I have a hippo tang with some sort of fuzz on his face. He is in a qt tank because I just got him I have been dosing copper power as I do every fish before they go in the main tank. I do water changes weekly tho should I be doing them every 2 or 3 days? All help will be appreciated.

PS I circled the in red the fuzz the other spots you see are just streaks and spots on the glass of the tank lol.

looks like a post injury that May have developed fungus.
Try a 5 minute freshwater dip, same temp as display tank to sort of cleanse area and treat with reef safe ruby rally pro or inquarantine- Seachem Neoplex

Agree that this is likely from an injury. External fungal diseases are very rare in marine fish, this is probably bacterial.

If the fish is still eating well, you might just want to observe it for now. If not, or if the lesion gets worse, you should dose with Neoplex (you might want to buy it now to have on hand).

Try to avoid startling the fish so it doesn't rush into things in the tank.
