Hippo tang

I am buying a tank full setup from someone (upgrade to my existing tank). The guy is including all of his livestock in the sale. Most fish look great, but he has a large hippo tang that is dull colored with some large white circles. Is this head and lateral line or something else? He fed the hippo, and he is eating well and acts fine other than appearance.

Looks like hlle, needs more vitamins and varied diet. Could be stray voltage or stress from too small of a tank….

It’s HLLE erosion and you will want to step up on water quality and especially diet
While the face will improve, it won’t fully recover
Feed foods such as:
LRS herbivore diet
Mysis shrimp
Spirulina brine shrimp
Hikari veggie diet
Hikari marine cuisine
Small plankton
Nori seaweed basted with garlic extract

add selcon vitamins to your foods occasionally
