HIPPO WONT EAT PELLETS

hello everyone! I bought a hippo tang the other day at my LFS and he’s super fat and healthy, acclimated well, I feed plots of seaweed pellets and he seems to want to eat them and goes after them but he always misses them and won’t eat them once it hits the sand, he’s supper healthy but should i do a smaller food for now?? just confused over the entire thing

How big is the fish? Any other tangs in there with him?

there’s a sailfin but there’s no aggression. they are fine together no flashing or anything

Might want to try frozen emerald entree till he gets settled. At least it will suspend in the water longer and has everything both need. I think once the hippo gets settled he'll start to eat the pellets.
