Hippocampus kingdom

It's so nice the return pump makes the perfect amount of flow. Low on the bottom and some water movement on top.
And when I feed the food moves just enough for them to get interested but not so fast they can catch it.

I've added a few things sence the last pick.
More display algae and some mangroves what do u think?
I think I want to add another 10 mangroves.
Along with some more seahorse, in time tho.

Tanks Looking GREAT!!! What are those Bright Red Palys a couple shots under the Yuma? There not VDM are they? There sweet!!

Those are my sunny d's.
They are ultras from aqua sd.
In my main tank I have close to 50 of them now.

Or are you talking about the super red ones?
I got those from reefers garage. Not sure of the name but they are super bright.
Let me know if ur intrested duke I have a couple that grew on my frag rack I might sell...

I just won some sick zoas from an ebay from rnegret258
And maybe a chalice...

Seahorses are eating well so there fat and happy. The problem is I'm getting a lot of algae bc of all the excess food I am feeding the tank now.
I think I need a bigger clean up crew and maybe a large water change tonight.

Thank you seahorsekeeper

The tank temp is still a little on the worm side at 78 during the hottest part of the day.
But early and later in the day it sits at 77.2 which I feel ok with.
I need to feel and do a water change so ill post some pics in a bit.

Yes he is still in a cage in my 90. I wanted to make sure he was eating really well before I put him in that tank.
I was also a little afraid that with all the feeding for the seahorse I might send the tank into another cycle, which I think is happening.
I need to start dosing vodka and some water changes.
He should be in his new home by the end of this week.

Beautiful tank! I would suggest a algae scrubber over vodka dosing. It will also highly increase your pod population. You can do one off of your return or your drains and very cheap and easy to do. Usually light cost the most depending on what you do.

Thank you Alex.

I'm not really a fan of ATS.
I dose vodka on my 90 gallon reef already so I feel pretty comfortable with that.
I think what I'm going to do is a remote fug. I know my pod population needs to come up.
Thinking about ordering another few bottles of tiger pods,
the mini seahorses love them the big ones kind notice it but don't actively hunt them.
I think I will take some egg crate and build a cage like I did with my gen tang cage
Just 4 sides and a bottom with some zip ties and toss some algae in that.
That will make it easy to just pull it all out and one time...

Tomorrow I plan on doing a large water change and I guess I'll pick up a gravel vac and clean the top of my sand bed
I normally wouldn't recommend this but bc the tank is new and the sand bed isn't really established I feel that it's ok and I want all the algae gone already.

Tank is doing good,
One of the sea horses was wrapped around my drain pipe.
I pulled him off and he has a nick on his tail.
I'm hoping he will put threw it,
He is still eatting when I feed and is swimming around like nothing wrong
Hopefully that's a good sign.

Since seahorses are scaleless, I keep bio bandage on hand just in case in these types of scenarios.

Wow I would have never thought abut that.
I was thinking about adding melafix but I know that will make the skimmer go crazy for a few days

So not sure what to do with about my sea horse with his hurt tail.
The thing is he is eatting. I have to make sure the food falls in front of him bc he doesn't like to swim as far
But he is eatting. So I'm not sure if I should try to do anything or if he's just SLOWLY recover on his own.

Other then that the tanks doing great I added a lot of zoas from my 90 to my 60. I have a few bad cell pics.
Tomorrow by 1030 I will have my ebay corals in and I will bust out the DLSR for them.

For now this will do.
