I bought a biocube used for my son, and there are some pretty bad scratches. Has anyone ever hired someone to remove scratches before? If so, how much did it cost?

Glass or Plexi? Deep scratches are tough....by the time you've polished them out, you've now distorted the glass/plexi. Slight surface scratches can be buffer out....and if you want to pay, it will cost you. A local friend had his plexi tank buffer out and it cost over a thousand bucks, and he had to bring it down to Delaware....and back. Try doing it yourself.....google it and you'll find instructions.

It's glass. I have tried buffing scratches out of glass before, and it made no difference. I swore I'd never buy a damage d glass tank again, but I figured since it was for a kid and was so inexpensive it couldn't hurt. The plus side is this tank is so small, so bringing is somewhere is totally doable. I'm suspicious that when it was all said and done I could have bought new for a fraction though.
