We I just knoteced a little crab on my birds nest it looks to have white tips on its pinchers. Should I take the crab out? I'll try to get a pic. It looks fuzzy to.

Got him should I flush it or put it back?

Most crabs aren't reef safe.We just smash them and feed to the fish. You will notice that it is one of their favorite foods.

From what I know shinny crabs are prob reef safe if feed well, but that one is very fuzzy? Not an emerald for sure. But ya in a sump is good, they are like vultures of the ocean. Very good cleanup crew

It looks to be in the cymo genus. We just lost one back in December that defended and groomed our hyacinthus colony for 5 years - It was a sad day! If you are worried, put the little crab in your sump or find it a new home.

So I put the little guy in my sump I'll keep him there till he gets bigger so he can be id better and yes he looked fuzzy.

glad you didnt kill the little guy. they cant help what they find tastey, you can always find someone willing to take a creature. not everyone has a reef.
