Hi. not sure what this is but i use to see it come out the sand at night when my frags were in the sand. now that the frags are on a diy rack I have a much clearer view of it. help identifying this living branch. almost looks like living roots.

Your saying its mobile? Looks like algae.
 
Total guess, some of my spaghetti worms look like this when they crawl out on the glass at night, but they are bright red/orange. I have some transparent/white ones too. Not sure if there are green ones?
 
I could only best describe it as a mobile root system of some sort. as crazy as that sounds. The color tone is very root ish, lightish brown with tiny vines branching outwards

Here’s a pic of a spaghetti worm in my tank. I’ve seen them come in different colors. Red, yellow, brownish.
