Hi guys.
I quarrantined a few hermits and snails for 6 weeks and was about to move them to my fish only display tank. I noticed that the snails have what looks like barnacles on their backs and a little worm like critter popping in and out of it. Can someone tell me what it is and is it worth putting into my aquarium. I dont want any nuisance issues or worse! Is it safe to put the crabs in the DT if i dont see the barnacles?
Thanks!

Also.... can they somehow be removed from the snail with any success?
Thanks fellas! Love u guys!

They are all barnacles, completely harmless filter feeders. I wouldn't risk removing them, they adhere to the shells so tightly that they would probably take bits of shell off with them.
