Hey Guys, I am a beginner to SW tanks. I currently have an 8G nano cube from innovative, and I am in my 2nd week of cycling. I added some LR from the pet store and noticed a couple things had come along. My friend calls them aptasia anemones and said they are a nuisance. If they are a nuisance do you guys have any suggestions for getting rid of them? There's two different ones in the picture. Sorry for it being sideways.

Image#3 looks like a Hidden Cup Coral.
The others could be Aiptasia.

+1, exactly my thoughts. If #3 has a stony base to it, its definitely a hidden cup coral.

Okay, it looks like it does have a stony base - maybe I should keep that one? If the other is a Aiptasia what steps should I take in eliminating it in a 8gallon tank. My friend said I could put a peppermint shrimp in the tank. What about using Joe's juice?

That one's fine, it is non-photosynthetic though, so if you want to keep it longterm you'll have to feed it.

With just one or two aiptasia, directly killing them should work.

Hey, it looks like I have a few more popping up. Do you have any suggestions for removal that wont effect the hidden cup coral growing?

Or superglue or epoxy ontop of them encapsulating them....also if you have some Kali laying around you can make a paste and place it directly ontop of the aphasia and it will kill them also...
