Hitchhicker ID black eyes. Bad pod?

Hello,
I am looking for help on this pod type hitchhiker. Found it swimming around on top of my chaeto while doing maintenance. It curls up in a ball when i try and flip it over.

Looks like it is probably an amphipod.

I love terrestrial isopods, this guy doesn't seem to be parasitic but I can't say for sure.
