hey y'all

This use to be a tiny polyp on a frag of a completely different coral (sympodium), so I'm considering it a hitchhiker by technicality. It has since grown a bit. I can't begin to guess what it could be. Any ideas? (top is blue; bottom is white light).

Yeah, I'm thinking majano anemone or a baby rock flower anemone given it's so flat to the rock. If that's a small frag plug, that's about the time the RFA babies start to color up for me.

Hard to tell, but are the tentacles 'serrated' at all?

Hm. I have moved the frag plug around, and it has never moved around on the plug in the entire time I've had it (several months) so I hadn't thought it could be an anemone. I have seen majanos, it doesn't quite look like one but I guess I'll have to just wait for it to get bigger because I wouldn't really know anyway.

I can't make out any details on the tentacles unfortunately; they are transparent.

Yeah, RFA generally don't move once they plant their foot unless the area they find themselves in is REALLY uncomfortable. Can you tell if it has a 'foot' or is it spreading on the frag plug?

I haven't looked closely enough/can't tell if it has a foot, but it has definitely grown wider on the frag plug. I guess I'll just keep an eye on it until it's easier to ID.
