Hitchhiker-flat oval & purple

Anyone know what this is? It only comes out at night and is tiny, flat, oval shaped. There are two in my tank. They immediately hide of light is turned on.

Picture is pretty blurry but from your description I believe it’s a small chiton. Good guy!

+1. Chitons are characterized by the overlapping plates on their backs and the ones that appear in the hobby are harmless algae grazers.

Yea it's hard to get a clear pic. He is tiny and runs to hide every time I try to get a pic.

My concern with chiton is the fact you say it runs. Last I knew, though I could be wrong, is chitons are pretty slow movers. If it’s as fast as your saying, I’m almost thinking maybe a type of isopod
