Hitchhiker funky snail ID

Wife and i scoped this little fella out last night on the live rock, and had never seen him before. So we snagged him up and sent to the sump for now ... thought we had seen about everything, but guess not! Y’all have any idea what kinda snail it is, and if good or bad? Shell is super shiny when he pulls back into it.

Thats a cowrie of some sort, I'd be careful adding it to the tank. Not sure if I remember right, but I think I read there is a type that is not reef safe.

Yup, I like finding them when I'm diving in Hawaii. They have really ornate shells, I'd look up what type it is though. There are kinds that are reef safe, I just remember reading about one that isnt.

Some species of cowrie like mentioned above. Looks cool as heck.. might wreak havoc thoooo be careful!

Thank for the info! Like i said we found him last night, and was being ‘chased’ by what we think was a polyclad flatworm. We were able to snag 1 of the 2, so guess we’ll be hunting polyclads from now on
