I may be too worried but I just had to remove my rocks and clean them with peroxide. These guys are popping up in my sand and on rocks. They move like bristleworms but are smaller. Are these guys bad?

not sure. I wish I had some. With a sand bed that deep you DEFINATELY want burrowing worms.
Pretty unusual ones, new tank? Its most likely they will die of on their own after the initial bloom.
If you can try and get a good clear pic with out zooming too much. itll help id.
do they have a bristle worm shape and spines? do they have a big head?

Hard to tell on the phone version. I can't see any bristles, but that's likely my phone's fault.

You can't really see the bristles in the picture at the size it is now, even on my 27" monitor. I download about 1/2 of the hitchhiker pics posted here and manipulate them in photoshop, to see what I can see. Most of the time even just turning them into a black & white photo will do wonders.

Here is a regular no-zoom pic of one. It's close to the sand bed, on the glass.

It seems like it's holding on by one end and swaying in the flow when it's above water. They are about the size of a fine point pen line. There are tons of them. This is a new tank. Put rocks in March 05. I cured my rocks for months before and let it cycle with live sand for a while. I just had a bryopsis outbreak and took the rocks out to use peroxide. All of that may be useless but figured I'd share it. So am I in the clear or doomed?

I feel very confident in saying you are in no way doomed.

Killing things off with something like peroxide, throws the tank's balance off a little for a bit. There's probably a little overgrowth of something else that makes for the perfect opportunity for population growth. Their number will go back down. i would throw those in my tank in a hot second.

My sand bed is about 1"-1 1/2" deep
Yup. I'm a more true Dsb guy. Either half in or three in. Half in or less for vaccuming or or deep for bugs an bactereia. And to keep a Dsb working ya gotta have worms. Congratulations.

I didn't want to do the dsb. I used 60 lbs because I read that was how much to put in 60 gallon. Maybe not the best logic but it sure looks good. ;)
