Picked up some Aussie rock and when unwrapped this guy shot out. Is this a bobbit. And do I need to worry about eggs? It’s about 4in long. Don’t try to bother you guys much but a bit nervous.

Bobbit for sure. There may be more, but removing it whole is your primary concern because it can regenerate from segments.

I just got the rock today and didn’t add to tank yet do they lay eggs? I don’t wanna kill off the rock cause I just bought a lb for $25 as Aussie rock and has a lot of sponges I would like to add to tank. Also added pics from under microscope

I don’t know how they reproduce. Try googling: bobbit worm site:reef2reef.com and you’ll get a bunch of hits. I *think* you’ll be fine so long as you got the worm in tact.

Thankyou

I don't know about the worm, but I see micro brittle stars in the pics at the bottom of your container, not on the rocks. Don't miss out on those guys. Scoop them up and put them in!
