Nice hydroid population. In my system, I had these spread on my glass after I had an increase in copepods.
They will fade with time as abundant food goes away.

Thanks for the info. I got rid of in my first tank pretty much by running my UV filter and knocking them off the glass. Guess I'm gonna have to work on the second tank the same way

Thanks for the info. I got rid of in my first tank pretty much by running my UV filter and knocking them off the glass. Guess I'm gonna have to work on the second tank the same way

Yeah agree on this. Would be curious to know if there are any predators. Mine disappeared after the newness of the tank and self regulated but I do wonder if anything eats them.

Nothing really eats hydroids. I have a outbreak of them in my tank. Mine never harmed anything so I let them be in my tank. Still some people say emerald crabs,hermit crab and some flame back angelfish eat them. Still, some eats them and some will not eat. Some hydroids can be removed by just increasing the flow towards them which will make them starve. I have a problem of colonial hydroids and they are a kind of beautiful addition in aquarium so I let them be in my aquarium
