I found this nasty looking guy when moving rock around. How bad is he?

You can go out and get the commercial killers, but if you want to attack it now, take a coffee cup or water out of your tank and microwave to a boil. Using a turkey baster, cook that little SOB. He will retract, but continue to shoot boiling water on were he was.

It is aiptasia, but does not need the instant kill like many say. I'd put a peppermint shrimp or three in as the lowest impact solution. If you do want to use a product, Aiptasia X from Red Sea works really well, though you have to squirt it directly on the nem. I'd avoid the boiling water trick, personally. Too much room for collateral damage, and not a guaranteed way to kill it.

Aiptasia do spread reasonably quickly, but they are not the doom critters they are often made out to be. Take your time and do it right. They won't overrun a tank in a day, unless you try to get rid of them improperly.

I agree with most of that. Except that peppermints are "low impact". They can cause some heartache as well. Not that I dislike them. But everything has drawbacks. And I would use kalk paste over aptasia x. Just from personal experience. :-)
