I noticed these little guys on a rock I just got with some button polyps on it. At first I though hydroids, but after looking through many pictures online, I have doubts. They also look like very tiny palm (tree) corals. What are your thoughts?

Sorry about the potato quality! This was taken with a 'macro' lens on my phone camera. The biggest one is maybe 3mm across. They do appear to retreat into tiny tubules or maybe just a ultra-small ball (hard to see)...

Thanks in advance!

Could be Anthellia, or an encrusting Gorgonian, maybe even a star polyp type coral. I would definitely watch it's growth rate.
