Ok so I’m gonna ask advise. I’ve looked on several hitchhiker guides and they say vermetid snails are good but my past experiences have been them causing my corals to close up. So are they good or bad?

Ok more of the story. We moved a few months ago and I kept some of my softies and that was about it. After the move it all got put into a 55 on a table and I’ve maintained the tank the best I can. No skimmer so weekly water changes. So now I’m working on setting up 24 gal jbj cube, rocks and sand finish cycling the other day so I grabbed 2 pieces of rock out of the 55 and tossed in there to seed the pods , that was 2 days ago. Well that picture is one of the rocks. I guess I didn’t notice it. Idk how as big as it is. Either way I just pulled both rocks out and set them in the garage to dry out. So if I raise the ammonia back up will it kill any snails that could of made there way into the newly cycled rocks?

People don`t like him because he releases mucus that irritates corals. If you have only one remove this rock and scrape it off or superglue it on top of the snail.

That’s what they were doing in my other tank. I didn’t think I had any in this tank. I tried not to cross contaminate the two tanks before I moved. Guess I’ll have to remove coral off the plugs and dip when that time comes.
