New here. Got some live rock and have this guy. Good for the tank? If so how do I make him thrive? What is it?

bottom looks like some kinda octocoral/gorgonian

Gorgonian, it’s a photosynthetic type. Needs a decent amount of light and flow to thrive. Here’s a pic of a bigger one on the right. Nice hitchhiker!

It’s probably my favorite type of gorgonian, it’s really full and pretty with all its polyps out
I also have this little tiny frilly red thing with a black head that pops out of this tube but any time I get close to look at it, it just shoots back into it's hole. I'm assuming it's some type of worm.

oh

worm!
whered you get the rock looks like you got a ton of goodies
Gulf Live Rock, actually. Only got 20lbs (probably should have gotten more tbh) in a 40g breeder. I have tons of brittle stars hiding in my rocks...two decent sized clams and I have seen a couple bristle worms and spaghetti worms as well. Theres also a very tiny light bulb anenome and some interesting sponges.
