thanks.. the possible Zoas are so bleached/white that I wasn't sure what they might be.. they were on the bottom of some rock I purchased..
 
they are opening.. they were so tight when I first found them that I thought they might be a tunicate.. but then they started to open a bit.. the third picture is a single polyp a few inches down from the other cluster and I can see just a little bit of some fringe.. getting a pinkish color on some now that they have had some light.. it will be interesting to see what they end up being.
 
With the green star polyp, just watch it. They spread really fast and can take over a tank very easily. We have some we keep growing on our overflow where we can control it with no other rocks near it. Oh and they like medium to high flow.
