was wondering if anyone can ID this critter.. my tanks been up for over 7 years and this is the first time ive seen him when i turned the lights on.. doesn't seem to be harming anything hes about 1 1/2 inches in length. thanks

Red eyed crab. They get about 4 to 5 inches wide extremely aggressive. I would remove it and kill it If I was you but that's my opinion.
