Bought a Indo neon green wall hammer and a friend hitched a ride. It is the shape of a half circle not a full circle like a feather duster green in color and it literally looks like a hand with fingers that reach out and grab and then retract back inside

Does it retract when you touch it? I have one of these filter feeding worms on my zoas. I believe they are harmless but I am not an expert on them.

Definitely not aptaisia. It has the ‘feathers’ like my feather dusters and has mad its home right in the center of the wall hammer

Yes it some sort of a filter feeder and looks just like my feather dusters only the ‘feathers’ do not make a complete circle it is only shaped like a ‘c’ and literally looks like a hand with fingers that reach out and grab and then retract

Cool beans can I leave it there without it affecting the wall hammer the thing is really cool looks just like a hand with fingers grabbing phyto from the water column

Yeah I have had them live in a galaxia coral and didn’t bother it. Eventually it died but it was cool to see them at work.

I have some things like that growing out of one of my acros. It opens up sends out half feather and pulls back in and closes. They are not large as yours though
