With doing only the minimal research of looking at one hitch kicker guide. What is this? I’ve had the frag for 5ish months wouldn’t grow pulled from DT into frag tank. I’ve not seen anything like this before or maybe I’m blind

second, it looks like bryopsis. No, it doesn't sting... but it is a very invasive algae. If it is bryopsis you'll want to treat it with fluconazole... Here is a thread that talks about the treatment, I've used fluconazole to treat GHA and Bryopsis in my nano tank with lots of success. Just make sure you follow the instructions and monitor your tank parameters... the die-off of algae could cause spikes. Let me know if you have specific questions happy to help!

#1 worst algae you can allow to spread in the DT. Nuke it with hydrogen peroxide or swap the plug.

Definitely looks like coral decay right next what looks like bryopsis. The two could be coincidental.

Best way to test theory it’s non-coincidental? Or I may just throw it out it’s become an annoying coral it does nothing, won’t grow and now this...lol

Bryopsis, for sure. Remove the plug that coral is on before it spreads. Hit it with H202.
