hitchhiker ID?

Heya! Could anyone help me to ID the little critter pictured below? Tank has been set up for about three months now, and this guy appeared out of no where. Is it it's own organism, or maybe eggs? Other invert inhabitants are 10 nassarius, 10 blue leg hermits, 4 red leg hermits, 1 turbo, and a lot of stomatella snails. The object pictured is about 1/4" in diameter, max. Thanks!

Yep... Exactly. If you have one you have a ton. I don't know of any way to eradicate them, but would surely be interested in any ideas...

They do not cause issues themselves, but the mucus membrane they release to filter feed in the water column can cause irritation on SPS corals.

Pull the rock out and scrape it off.. Simple enough..
