Hydroid type. I do not find this type to be invasive unless you are seriously overfeeding. I have them in my macro algae tank.

Suspicions confirmed ;Dead. I feed my DT pretty heavily. not an ideal situation when treatment usually kills snails. I'll have to fight the good fight in QT.

If I start tank transfering the snails from this tank, anyone have an idea of how long they take to re-appear?

Take each snail and scrub their shells with a soft tooth brush, swish in separate container of display water.
As I posted this type seems to be self limiting. I feed my macro algae tank pretty heavy and if anything the Hydroids begun to die off as the tank ages.
I move corals, inverts and algae to my display and have not seen any cross introduction.
