At the store, only one of these polyps was open, but it was such a bright color that I was still interested in it. I asked the guy if there was something wrong with it since it was all closed up & he told me it had just been picked up and moved around, so I decided to buy it. Now that it’s home, I have acclimated it and dipped it with KoralMD. As I was doing the dip, I noticed these little eggs (I think that’s what they are). For now, I’m keeping it in a holding container until I figure out what it is & make sure it’s safe to add to my display. Any thoughts?

Zoa-eating Nudi eggs Aeolid predatory on zoanthids!
Oh, great. I just did some more research and it looks like only the smaller eggs are the zoa eaters. Are the big round ones the same type of eggs?

It could be Zoa Pox, which could be why they were not opened up at the store.
My daughter has successfully treated hers using Furan 2 dips.

Geez, what a disaster of a zoa haha. I appreciate your advice. Honestly, it doesn’t seem like it’s worth it to try and cure everything wrong with this frag. My tank is zoa dominated and I don’t want to risk all of this spreading to the other colonies. The LFS has a 15 day guarantee so I guess I will have to return this one. Thanks for everyone’s help :)

If one has them chances are that there is more in the coral tank at the lfs. Congrats at being so diligent on the inspection of the zoa.
You’re right. I’ll have to be careful and make sure but I pick one from a different tank.
Thanks, I’m glad I caught it before putting it into my display :)
